The ratings on this blog are very personal and based on my own likes and preferences. I rate films based on 8 categories of 1-5 scales. 

Setting/Aesthetic/Feel: 

Was the setting/aesthetic/feel unique? Typically vintage? Personally delightful?

Characters: 

How much did I like/dislike the characters? How many of them did I like/dislike? 

Plot: 

How invested was I in the plot? How much sense did it make to me? How well did it fit into the genre? How humourous or sweet was it? 

Romance: 

How good or bad was the romance?

Theme/Message/Topics: 

Was there any sort of theme or message to this film? Was it good? How deep was it? What topics did this film tackle?

Content: 

How much content was there (sexual, language, drinking, smoking, etc.)? How on-screen was it?

Violence Level: 

How much violence was there? How graphic or on-screen was it? 

Overall: 

All things considered, how much did I enjoy this film? Do I recommend it? Would I watch it again?
